Brazilian Music Day, Sept. 7, 2012. The ARChive of Contemporary Music

As with last year's Muslim Music Day, ARC got the least amount of help from established libraries and archives. Columbia's Wiener Music & Arts Library, to their credit, was the only University or public institution to get us downloads of their catalogued materials. As Mr. T., one of our favorite interns once said, "pity the fools!"

Of special note is the support of the Archivists Round Table of Metropolitan New York (ART). In 2011 the ARC launched the first "World Music Day" celebrating Islamic music and culture Muslim World Music Day, and the Round Table awarded ARC their prestigious "Innovative Use of Archives Award."
